We offer a welcoming, discreet Sexual Health service for all patients and recommend regular STI screening, whether you’re starting a new relationship or wish to protect your health.

We offer treatment packages for chlamydia, mycoplasma and other STI, but will refer to a specialist Sexual Health clinic for more complex and challenging infections or multiple infections, as typically expert support or ongoing treatment will be required.

Men and women can both experience problems that affect their sex life and ability to have sexual intimacy and we offer advice and counselling for sexual dysfunction issues – both physical or psychological – that can affect both male and female patients.

We have chaperones available if you would feel more comfortable during examinations by having someone with you.

Our STI full samples are a four-day turnaround. For screening purposes, men must provide a first pass urine sample after at least three hours of not passing urine. For women, it is by a self-administered swab. If you are symptomatic, then we take samples as part of your examination.

HIV and Hepatitis B and C are recommended for high-risk individuals and we use the four-hour turnaround test, which has good reliability.

Test of cure for all STI is recommended at or after four weeks, as earlier testing is likely to give inaccurate results.

We can discuss your contraception choices and provide advice, but we do not fit coils or implants in the clinic.
