Second Opinions

Seeking a second opinion can provide reassurance on the diagnosis or the treatment you’re currently receiving, and we are comfortable giving an alternative view or confirmation regarding your medical care or provide you with an interpretation of any medical tests you’ve had.

Second Opinions

Seeking a second opinion can provide reassurance on the diagnosis or the treatment you’re currently receiving, and we are comfortable giving an alternative view or confirmation regarding your medical care or provide you with an interpretation of any medical tests you’ve had.

If possible, we ask for any relevant information or tests you have undergone beforehand, particularly if it is a complex case. Patients often need additional reassurance regarding their health concerns or the treatment they are receiving, but we must always offer an ethical and valuable service.

Patients can seek a second opinion while still maintaining their relationship with their NHS GP or continuing treatment at an NHS hospital.  We can organise diagnostic tests and checks or refer to other private consultants if required.

We usually recommend that information and treatment plans generated from second opinions should be shared with your usual medical team, but we will always ask your permission before doing so.
