To help your consultation run as smoothly as possible, we have put together a checklist for our patients.
Let us help you to spread the cost of your medical care. Paying a small fee monthly will cover all appointments, casework, consultant liaison and referral letters as well as telephone and email contacts and prescriptions. There are significant discounts on health checks and home visits too, and no hassle with invoices. Laboratory fees and injections are not included and will be billed separately.
The health club can be paid for annually or monthly, although the initial payment will be for 6 months of membership.

Like all doctors licensed to practise in the UK, Dr Tickle is bound by the GMC Duties of a Doctor. Everything you discuss with your doctor is confidential and cannot be shared with anyone else without your permission. There are a couple of notable exceptions, such as when a child might come to harm or when terrorism or other serious crimes are threatened. If you are also registered to an NHS General Practitioner then it is probably safer to keep them informed of any significant changes in your health and medications but this can be discussed with Dr Tickle at your appointment if it causes you concerns.
Dr Elaine Tickle believes that everyone needs time to discuss and explore their medical problems, so provides a 20-25 minute standard consultation and allows up to an hour for new patients.
We believe it is very important that you are able to reach Dr Tickle when you need her. We ask that new and existing patients call the practice during surgery hours in the first instance. If the line is engaged, please leave a message and we promise to return your call as soon as possible. Our answer machine messages are closely monitored. All registered patients are given Dr Tickle’s mobile phone number but we respectfully request that the practice number is used during office hours. We ask that patients do not send SMS messages as they cannot be managed safely.
Referring patients on for specialist investigations, treatments and advice is a core function of General Practice. Dr Tickle is particularly keen to find the right specialist for you; someone who is clinically skilled and likely to offer you the information you need in a manner that suits you. Dr Tickle only refers to consultants whom she trusts and whose work she is happy with.
Referral appointments are almost always arranged within a week - and sometimes within a couple of days.
